Friends and Colleagues,
It is my honor to
invite you on behalf of the Scientific Program Committee, to the
Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) 2020 Congress in
Xiamen, China, held in conjunction with the 25th Congress of Chinese
Ophthalmological Society (CCOS).
Chairing the
Scientific Program Committee for years, I am delighted to have
brought together the most qualified leading experts from around the
world to keep our ophthalmic practitioners abreast of advancement of
all areas of ophthalmology and visual sciences. Their talks have
fostered a fruitful and rewarding Congress year after year.
In 2020, with an
anticipated number of over 1,200 international experts, I believe
that the Congress will remain an excellent platform to equip
delegates with new scientific innovations, knowledge, medications,
surgical techniques and technologies, as well as to explore new
friendships.
I wish you all enjoy
the well-thought-out scientific programs and I look forward to
seeing you in Xiamen!

Introducing
the Co-Sponsor of APAO 2020 Congress | |

 This
year, our Congress organizer is pleased to welcome the American
Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) as co-sponsor of the 35th APAO
Congress in Xiamen, China, held in conjunction with the 25th CCOS.
Chaired by Prof. Lynn
K. Gordon of the United States, AAO is the world’s largest
association of eye physicians and surgeons and has a global
community of 32,000 medical doctors. Since being an independent
organization in 1979, AAO has striven to protect sight and empower
lives by serving as an advocate for patients and the public, leading
ophthalmic education, and advancing the profession of ophthalmology. | |

Hotel reservation for
the 35th APAO Congress in Xiamen, China will open on October 1,
2019. This year, our Congress organizer has secured competitive
rates for delegates at 4 selected hotels closed to the Congress
venue, Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center
(XICEC), to cater a range of budgets and needs.
The selected hotels
include InterContinental Xiamen (5-star), which is just 3 minutes
away from XICEC, Xiamen Mingfa International Hotel (5-star), Marco
Polo Xiamen Hotel (5-star), and New Forestry Hotel (4-star). Shuttle
services will be provided between Marco Polo Xiamen Hotel, New
Forestry Hotel, and the Congress venue.
Rooms are reserved on
first-come, first-served basis. Delegates are encouraged to find out

Abstract Submission Closes in Two Weeks |

The English abstract
submission for the 35th APAO Congress will end in two-weeks’ time, on
Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Authors who wish to present papers, posters,
videos and/or instruction courses should submit their abstract(s) via
the Congress system at http://congress.apaophth.org/.
Please read the abstract
submission guidelines carefully beforehand. Late submissions will
not be considered. |
